It’s the season for slowing down. As the weather cools, it beckons us to sit a little longer. Snuggle up a little closer. Breathe in its crisp air a little deeper.
This season we took a cue from nature and simplified. Inspired by modern minimalist design from Scandinavia (my favorite design inspo and a nod to my Danish grandmother), we toned it down. We played with the elaborate traditional designs from Central America more than color, so that the intricate, age-old details could take center stage in cool greys, warm pinks, and classic black/whites. Handwoven with personal care and time-tested quality, these beauties will make you swoon. (And possibly restyle every room, like I did after seeing everything come in!)
For the first time ever, we launched in to table linens, starting with 100% cotton hand towels for easy washing. Inspired by our best-selling throw designs, the gorgeous geometric designs of Chiapas, Mexico are applied in a new way. And if you’re craving those thick winter layers, we brought back our popular softer-than-you-can-imagine Guatemalan wool blankets and oversized Oaxacan wool scarves.
the weather beckons us to sit a little longer, to snuggle up a little closer, to breathe in its crisp air a little deeper.
But my favorite pieces this season are our new Vintage Oaxacan Wool Pillows. Originally rug swatches, these wool panels were picked up on my last trip to Mexico. Each pillow is one-of-a-kind and bears traditional Zapotec symbols of light, wisdom, or growth. From blue to mint and evergreen to classic red, each hue is naturally dyed by the families we work with.
So grab yourself a cup of hot cider, curl up in your favorite corner, and see what I fell in love with this season.
