Indigo Del Lago Pillow
made by MAYA TRADITIONS GROUP in lake atitlán, guatemala
12 in stock
Deviating from the standard classic stripes, thin ikat stripes are naturally dyed in deep indigo and bright white. In order to make a pillow this wide, two panels were handwoven on a Mayan backstrap loom and then connected with a “ronda” stitch. Each pillow takes one week to ikat, dye, and weave. The exquisite hand stitch takes an additional week to complete. Design on front only, with solid white backing. Due to its handcrafted nature, each pillow varies slightly.
This pillow helps provide education and health care for the children of Maya Traditions.
