Peruvian Pillow No.07
made by AWANA LLAQTA COOPERATIVE in chincherro, peru
2 in stock
Using the same techniques as their Incan ancestors, this frazada was handwoven on a backstrap loom in Chincherro, Peru with organic, naturally dyed wool/alpaca blend. Thick, warm, and vibrant frazadas are traditionally used as rugs in Peru to fend off the Andeas chill. Design on front only, with solid ivory backing. A set of pillows was made from this frazada so each pillow is slightly different.
In addition to paying above fair wages for their work, we will invest 10% of the proceeds from this purchase to covering school costs for the children of the Awana Llaqta Cooperative.
