made by SINGLE MOTHERS COOPERATIVE in lake atitlán, guatemala
2 in stock
Naturally dyed using the leaves of the Indigofera Tinctoria plant, these ikat stripes are skillfully designed using a series of ties done by hand and by memory. Learned at a young age, the weavers know their craft by heart, making each pillow at the highest quality and deeply personal. Design on front only, with solid white backing. Finished with a traditional embellishment of a white, handstitched “ronda” line. Due to its handcrafted nature, each pillow varies slightly. Matches the Indigo Maíz Blanket.
This pillow helps provide education and health care for the children of Single Mothers Cooperative.
