made by MAYA TRADITIONS GROUP in lake atitlán, guatemala

Out of stock

Large stripes in a rich, naturally dyed indigo hue. The corn (“maiz”) ikat design, traditional to Guatemala, is masterfully hand tied using a series of knots and then dyed using indigo stone sourced from El Salvador. Handwoven on a Mayan backstrap loom using age-old techniques. Each pillow takes one week to ikat, dye, and weave. Design on front, with ivory backing. Due to its handcrafted nature, each pillow varies slightly.

This product helps provide education and health care to the artisans and children of the Maya Traditions Group.
