Indigo Soltero Pillow

made by SINGLE MOTHERS COOPERATIVE in lake atitlán, guatemala

Ikat stripes are masterfully tied into patterns representing corn to create this beautiful, bold indigo blanket. The cotton threads have been naturally dyed using ground indigo stone and handwoven on traditional Mayan backstrap looms. Learned at a young age, the weavers know their craft by heart, making each pillow at the highest quality and deeply personal. Design on front only, with solid white backing.Finished with a traditional embellishment of an indigo, handstitched “ronda” line. Due to its handcrafted nature, each pillow varies slightly.  Matches the Indigo Soltero Blanket.

This pillow helps provide education and health care for the children of Single Mothers Cooperative.
